overture 1 and 2!
1 was okay, at least there were certain 'sight-readable' phrases for me, but 2 was totally taunting me of my really low ability of sight-reading.
during overture 2 when ms sia used the metronome with the quaver counts i got super confused. all the beats were getting mixed up in my head, so i really couldnt keep count. sorry, but i have a thing with metronomes using that kind of beat. if the beat goes "1,2,3,4..." i can keep track because it's pretty clean, but give me some weird beat like "1and2and3and4..." or "1e&a2e&a3e&a4e&a..." i'll go "okay.... *countcountcount*... wait, what?..."
very confusing.
anyway, band was quite fun as usual, if it werent for the aching shoulders and confusion.
oh yeah, and this.
(during sectionals)
Cherlyn: hey samantha, you're quitting band right?

i really didnt know what to say okay.
later we moved out from the section area cause Mr. Sun was too proud of his brightness that day.
during sectionals that day, we were pretty much talking most of the time(heehee), when ms sia came and caught us. scaryyyy man. i thought she was going to scold us. haha.
fortunately, she didnt, and called for combine.
unfortunately, that was when i met Ms.Overture No.2 for the first time. D:
when i got back home i found out that the back of my lower lip was bleeding.
