公公
Hey.
How's the new life?
I know you must be happier now. At least, better than being sickly and weak and having tubes stuck onto you. Oh, and having to eat hospital food. That must have been bad.
I remember when I saw you on the hospital bed. What had happened to the lively, healthy granddad that I knew? And yet, you were still the same person, the same Godly man who continued to trust in Him. Although He didnt let you cheat death, He brought you to a much better, eternal life.
Sorry for not having treasured all those grandparent-grandchild bonding moments while I still had them. It only seems like now when I can actually remember them. I guess it's true when they say, "we only treasure what we have when it's being taken away from us."
But at least you were taken away by a nice man, to a nice place where all is nice. And you can now dance and jump and never feel tired, and feast on meals far better than hospital food.
We still have to be thankful to Him though. 87 is a very ripe age. Although we cant choose how or when we die, we can choose where we end up after that, and I'm sure your life has brought you to that desired place.
Oh, and hey, I'm sure when you get your new body, you'll have a much better heart too:)
PS: When you get to meet Him in person, help me say thanks to Him for giving me such a wonderful granddad like you.
